Summary
Join Paty Bolanos as we immerse ourselves in Mexican heritage!
Description
Inspired by Mexican mythology and tradition, alebrijes have emerged. According to popular belief, these are fantastical creatures that represent the union between life and death. Every year on the Day of the Dead, they are responsible for helping souls cross the threshold and reach their loved ones. This emblematic element is recreated by artisans to decorate the festivities, leading to the creation of beautiful works of art.
In order to foster artistic creations while promoting culture, an alebrije workshop will be held. This activity will be supported by the Severson Dells Nature Center and will use recycled materials. In this way, we can integrate art and awareness of the natural environment.
